Waianae History

Waianae is in the Honolulu County and is a census designated place. This county was founded in 1907 and was incorporated as City and County of Honolulu. Previously, Honolulu was named as Fair Haven and the locals also referred it to as Brown’s Harbor. The area of Honolulu was bombed by Japanese forces in 1941; this made Honolulu a popular American wartime venue.
